Denim has had a very long history and it wasn’t until Levi Strauss discovered the utility of this wonder fabric that it became a popular garment wear. One of the great fashion journalist rightly said, “Though Denim is one of the oldest fabric, it will remain eternally young”. We, Blue Blends (India) Limited have been manufacturing this wonder fabric since 1995. The founder of the group, Mr. Anand Arya (Chairman-cum-Managing Director) is a first generation industrialist and has shown phenomenal drive as well as caliber to put Blue Blends on the pedestal of growth. Today it is very much “there” along with the leading Textiles’ manufacturers of the country. We have a composite Denim Mill with installed production capacity of 18 million meters per annum, having control over the entire manufacturing process, right from fiber processing to finished Denim Fabrics. The manufacturing unit of the company is located at Piplej, in the outskirts of Ahmedabad, which happens to be the Denim Capital of India. About 70% of the Indian Denim production occurs in Ahmedabad. We have a state-of-the-art plant for producing Denim fabrics based on slasher dyeing technology and air-jet weaving machines. We have employed latest equipments and utilize best technology to achieve our objective of producing internationally competitive quality in all the areas. Our spinning division (under group company’s name Premier Synthetics Limited) is based at Rakanpur / Santej, again an Ahmedabad suburb, where we have an installed capacity commensurate with Denim Division’s requirements in both Open End & Ring spun yarns. This plant is also state-of-the-art with equipments from Schlafhorst, Rieter, Trutzeller & Zinser. Quality of cotton being used is also very good since the unit is based close to Kadi, the best cotton ginning centre of Gujarat. We are consistently able to get supplies of quality cotton fiber from Kadi & nearby locations throughout the year and the transportation of cotton is minimal. The cotton fibers are very carefully selected to suit Denim fabrics’ ultimate requirements / properties.
